Exploit Prevention Labs has released new LinkScanner Pro, which extends the functionality of your existing SocketShield product to give you:
- Expanded threat protection – LinkScanner Pro protects you against phishing, social engineering, cracker, and adware server attacks
- Real-time site risk analysis – LinkScanner Pro gives you up-to-the-minute advice on how safe it is to visit a site
- Web search results inspection – LinkScanner Pro tells you which organic and paid Google search results sites are or have been exploited
- On-demand URL scanning – LinkScanner Pro lets you check any individual url for site insecurities before you go there
Licensed SocketShield customers may upgrade to LinkScanner Pro at no cost.
Your existing SocketShield license key will unlock LinkScanner Pro.
LinkScanner Pro replaces SocketShield as our premium home user security product. Of course, you don’t have to upgrade, but we’d be the first to say it’s a pretty good deal to get all that extra functionality for the price (free!).
If you choose not to upgrade, your existing SocketShield product will continue to function and be updated with new exploit definitions for the remainder of your subscription, but it won’t protect you against the additional threats that LinkScanner Pro detects.
